High Blood Pressure and Food, the Lifestyle choice

High Blood Pressure and Food, the Lifestyle choice.

By this I mean that you very much have a choice to make and which road to go down.Is it just go on as you are with no changes whatsoever with no alteration whatsoever in your food intake and just trust to the power of medication?

Or is that you want to make a positive choice and have a positive stance on what you do about your High Blood Pressure?

Me? I found it easier to take the latter road. Do something positive and be proactive..

To be brutally honest it was not the easiest road to take, it would have been a  so much easier just to continue the way I was going and just take the medicine every morning on time and trust to my doctor but (and we cover this at a later stage) all medicine has side effects and for my part I was getting fed up of night cramps, sweats and associate grief so it was very much a case of:

“OK, I am here for the long haul, better get your butt in gear and do something about it”

The above having been said, I am not trying to stress that I am some sort of lifestyle guru surviving on a regular meal of three bean sprouts and some tofu (can’t stand the stuff myself) just start off in the early days with a common sense approach to eating and work your way up from there.

As they say in all walks of life. “Success is a synch by the inch; by the yard it’s hard” so in the early stages take it one day at a time and if you “fall off the wagon” from time to time – don’t beat yourself up over it.

Just dust yourself down and get back on the program again and next time try and stay on for longer.

Believe me it does get easier and you’ll feel all the better for it. High Blood Pressure and Food, the Lifestyle choice
